From college life to corporate LIFE...!

For some life is a journey...for some its a game...for others , its an experience...But, i think its a combination of all three..At the moment, i am experiencing a journey..a journey not only of locations but also cultures, friends, attitude etc etc.
The time is 1 in the night and i am writing this blog not because i have nothing better to do, cause my mind tells " hey dude , u started this blog not to leave it blank but to jot down your thoughts..."..so i better do it..

College dayz are over...and people tell me that i have become an adult in all sense of the term. I laugh at their comments. But hey, its true - no more bunking classes and goin for movies, no more hanging out at the coffee shop watching the babes at college and ofcourse commenting on them, no more freaking out at Barista with friends , no more internal exams, no more last minute studying for externals, no more running behind teachers for gettin marks , no more ....of many gorgeous things......God i miss those wonderful dayz...am just a month out of finishing with college and i wish i was back in the midst of college life.....

and tomorrow, i wud be heading to hyderabad to join the corporate world..Yea, its gonna be new experience. But i wud be happy if it wud be half as gud as my college life had been. New friends( or colleagues as they formally call it !! ) , new coffe corners, new culture , new dressing style (formals ..ahahah..how am i gonna wear dat 4 dayz a week ! ) , a new of many gorgeous things...

They say that we are supposed to behave as mature individuals from now on. Maturity - whats dat supposed to mean ?...!!! and dat we have to talk in a formal and decent manner when we answer calls while at work. So wat bout all the slangs that i have been using in my college life. Where wud i use em !!?...c'mon there have to be people thinkin in my terms in the corporate field. C'mon guys , lets get together and make sure that we shout atleast one slang while talkin in office in every conversation..dat wud be awesum...aint it ? :)...and that wel have to maintain a formal distance in our walk , talk and all words ending wid LK...phew..

seems like i hve to buck up and get ready to this so called Corporate life. Hope the journey wud be full of thrills and less of spills...After all , changing the mindset of four years is not going to be a piece of cake. Game CORPORATE on !..

Arranged marriages or Love Marriages ?!!!

well ...lemme tell why i am posting this blog.....the power wnt off for an hour or so.....and we guys had nothing to do other than chat..somehow this topic surfaced...everyone had a point of view...
and in the end there were no conclusions...

what i basically feel at this point of time is that marriage is nothing but another word for adjustmnt. The better you adjust the smoother the marriage. Talks of love and commitment for a lifetime are all crap and bullshit according to me...i maybe wrong, after all i hve been on dis planet only for 22 years...but of wat i hve observed from all relationships , i have reached dis conclusion and i havent seen one love marriage which has gone on smoothly for more than a period of 2 years .....sorry to all the lovers of dis world who may read my blog , but am just riting down my thoughts here.......

so why according to me does love fail?..after all its the strongest feeling dat God has given a Human being......the very fact is that you have explored a person before marrying him/her before marriage that theres absolutely no curiosity once you have tied the knot...thats reason number one...secondly, the huge expectations that you have of your partner....you enter the relationship wid some preconceived notions bout ur partner...and once you see the real face, u get second thoughts bout whether you have made the rite choice.....after all living the next 50 or so years wid dis person is no joke !......u get thoughts like " he /she was soooooo charming and cute before..wheres all that gone now !!..he used to shower me wid gifts those dayz at skool/college...forget the gifts...he/she doesnt even give me a glance....wats goin rong? ".......

well theres noding goin rong..but this is how life is and u failed to understand it ..so watever is rong is rong wid u........!!!..am i sounding too tuff here.......!.truth is alwayz bitter !....

am not justifying arranged marriages here ....coz i hve seen people of our previous generation just adjusting and stretching themselves just to keep their marriages going not because of the affection they have for each other but for the sake of the kids that they have.......

another aspect that the modern world has brought is the concept of Live in relationships...thendian society wud reject this concept totally , but this has a few positive aspects as well...remember Salaam Namaste...the guy and the girl live together gettting to knw d reaaal person before plunging into marriage......i agree some people do this for the heck of time pass..but it goes widout saying that this concept of live in is not without its share of plusses....

so..the enigma of dis word MARRIAGE lives on.......!..god bless..may all of u find people whom u can spend ur life every moment happily.....

The enigma of being in Bangalore.....

Well my romance with the Garden City , Bangalore started on October , 2003. Joined Sir MVIT college, for doing the course in Industrial Engineering. And today , after 4 years, i am ready to bid adeu to the Silicon Valley on India. My experience with Bangalore has been truly enriching and worth remembering for a lifetime. This city has given me friends for a life time and some memories to be cherished. The city has truly undergone a revolution over the last 4 years both in the positive and negative ways.

The climate has taken a true beating with all the population xplosion ( thanx to people like me , who has migrated to pursue graduation......! ) and the pollution.Gone are the days when the city could be called as a pensioners paradise. There are lots of instances of theft and goondaism whn u read the Times of India in the morning.

But inspite of all that , B'lore is an amazing place to be living in.Its a truly cosmopolitan place in every sense. Mallus, Bengalis, Andra'ites,Northies......everyones here and makin a livin. Not to speak of the IT revolution happenin here.B'lore has put India on the world map.

Day after tomorrow, i wud be bidding adeu to B'lore and moving onto another interesting location -Hyderabad to join the company where i would be spenting the next 2 years.
Can't help keeping the nostalgia away.

The journey continues......

will miss you B'lore....

The world is a stage ..

"All the world's a stage, / And the men and women merely players: / They
have their exits and their entrances; / And one man in his time plays
many parts."

hmm....these word's keep ringin in my ear these dayz...seems to have made life a lot easier for me...kudos to William Shakespeare for thinking and coming out with words of wisdom on this phenomenon called life.

So whenever i tend to fail in any task , i just tell myself that i am an artist acting a play and sometimes the acting is bad.Even Marlon Brando has acted badly in some movies !!...so wheres the scope for a mortal like me...

So wat r the roles i am playin now ???...well son , brother, grand son , uncle , nephew , student , employee ...........phew man...i am supposed to get the Oscar award for playing all these roles to perfection at a time !!...wat say? ..who says Tom Hanks is the best actor in the world....its not hanks...its me !!!!!!!!!!

Vacations and movies and DVD's

well guys....i hve been at home for the last few weeks...just remaining at home..doing nothing but writing dvds and making a movie collection....well i guess having a collection is great...u can show ur grandchildren the kind of stuff that you grew up watching......a reflection of the personality that you are.....

Lucky Number Slevin was a good watch....of the other interesting movies that i came across included....88 Minutes in which Al Pacino plays a professor who gets threatening calls...it turns out in the end that one of his students does all the crimes. The way in which the plot unfolds is shown in a crisp and effective manner. Some of the other movies that I caught up include Green Street Hooligans, Pokkiri, Athadu, Collateral.......
