Humility - a rarity to find these days !

Punctuality, discipline, dedication ,hardwork , focus, determination .....were some of the words that are most commonly found in the the moral science text books.But , after spenting 23 years on planet Earth , I would rate humility as the one quality above all these - for the simple reason that all the other qualities would make you successful.But what happens once when you are the top.Thats where humility comes into picture.Humility is the difference b/w one Mr Santhakumaran Sreeshant and a Sachin Tendulkar.Mr Sachin Tendulkar has been around in the cricketing fraternity for the last 2 decades and he's unbelievably down to earth.On the other end, we have mr Sreeshanth who gets blasted for 5 balls in an over all over the park and somehow has the guts to go and stare the batsman even though the delivery had nothing extraordnary about it.Some call it agreesion , but I call it mockery.The highest virtue of an individual has already tasted success should be remain down to earth.Alas , such a rare quality to find these days- Humlity is one characteristic which will make champions remain champions - Look at all the sporting champions of our era - Michael Jordan, Sachin Tendulkar,Tiger Woods,Roger Federer, Michael Schumacher - humility is one common thread which runs thru all these sporting greats ,apart from all the other virtues mentioned in the moral science text book.Humility is what made these champions remain champions over long periods of time.Mr Shantakumar Sreeshant shud seriously take a few lessons from these sporting greats.
