Brilliant flick...one of the best releases in recent times...Can safely say that no movie in recent times have made such an impact on society as this one has.
Aamir, the Ace Khan has wielded the direction of the movie to perfection. The movie takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride. The movie revolves around the world of the central character Ishan, beautifully essayed by the child artist Darsheel Zafary. The kid is the the second child in a family where the benchmarks of achievement are sky high. His problems worsen as his elder brother is an achiever in everything from studies to sports. But what the parents of the child fail to understand is that their child is suffering from a disability called Dyslexia.Aamir depicts scenes with conviction that shows the discomfort of the Indian parent to accept the fact that their child is not normal.Life is a race for the parent in which their children are mere horses. He say's with conviction in a scene " ....race karna hain tho....khode paida karte..bache kyon?!! "....Aamir plays the role of a teacher who handles children with similar problems. He convices Ishan's parents about their child's disability and the need for them to shower their love and affection on him rather than putting him in the pressure cooker of life. The Indian dad is shown as a ruthless person who doesn't express his love and affection to his child. He is of the view that the mother is responsible for that part.
Gradually the child understand's the world around him under the teacher's guidance. At the same time, the teacher brings out the genius in the child to the world. He proves that every child is special and they should be treated that way.
In the end , the parents are just happy to know that both their kids are special- It was just that they were biased towards one of them all this time and that they had to undergo a drastic paradigm shift to understand the speciality of the other.
............................If you still hvn't watchd TZP, you just missed something really special in life...................
